The Queen’s Club Foundation (QCF), the official charity of The Queen’s Club, is pleased to announce that a new Visually Impaired (VI) Tennis Bag is now available for Members to use at the Club.

As part of their mission to improve lives through racket sports, the QCF has donated a specialist bag of equipment designed to support visually impaired players. The kit includes audible tennis balls with bells inside, tactile court lines and other adaptive equipment that helps players with visual impairments enjoy the game.

The equipment will be kept at Reception and is available for Members to borrow whenever needed. We kindly ask that all items are returned after use so that other Members can benefit from them.

This donation forms part of the QCF’s Inclusive Hotspots Project, delivered in partnership with Middlesex Tennis. The project creates locally driven tennis sessions for people who face barriers to participation, including those who are visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, neurodiverse, from underserved communities, or affected by homelessness. By working closely with local partners, the programme creates welcoming, adaptable and empowering environments where everyone can enjoy tennis.

As part of the project, the QCF has developed a number of VI Tennis Bags for venues that are well placed to support visually impaired tennis. The QCF were delighted to donate one of these kits to The Queen’s Club, recognising that visually impaired players are already part of the Club community.

We encourage Members to make use of the equipment and help us promote a more inclusive game. Whether you are visually impaired yourself, know someone who is, or would simply like to explore adaptive tennis, the equipment is available to help make tennis accessible to more people.
